Each distinctive piece is made by hand. Once I research the subject, I use the most beautiful natural rich colors of local wool to create each piece. Depending on design elements, I may use alpaca and mohair as well. Also when the piece requires a special must have signature color, I will use hand dyed fiber to match my needs.

My needle felted sculptures are created using a single needle method. I enjoy the challenge of creating sculptures without an internal armature structure as well. Using a barbed felting needle I work the fibers until the sculpture is firm and can stand on its own. I average 10 hours of felting time on a three to five inch sculpture. I know a sculpture is complete when it makes me smile and I have a name for it.
